ABOUT US
Dr. Juda Habot is a graduate of The University of Calgary medical school. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Toronto, and then returned to Alberta to do cardiovascular research. He continued to do his cardiology residency at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary. He practiced in Calgary and worked in the Cardiac Wellness Institute until he returned to Toronto in 2001 to specialize in Echocardiography at the Toronto General Hospital.
Dr. Habot joined Southlake Regional Health Centre, in Newmarket, in 2003 as an echocardiologist. He has been involved in the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Prevention program, and for the past four years he has been its Medical Director.
His interests include heart failure and valvular disease management. In addition, he is interested in primary and secondary prevention of coronary artery disease, including exercise prescription and lifestyle modification. Dr. Habot has been with division of cardiology at Southlake Regional Health Centre since 2003.
The Heart Clinic is geared to provide the usual cardiac services. In addition, we specialize in cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation.
Unlike other cardiac rehabilitation programs, the one offered at THE HEART CLINIC is at no extra charge to the patient. The program provides patients with the necessary education and a home-based exercise prescription.
